May
Kasal sa Forbes Park
15 February 2003
May Kasal
sa Forbes Park, a wedding fair presented by PHILTRADE
Exhibits with the Santuario de San Antonio Parish Center and
Kasal.com
(online media partner), last February 15 and 16 proved to
be the first big gathering of the year of individuals, companies
and organizations involved in the wedding industry. For the
first time in wedding fairs, a special garden wedding set-up
was the focal point of the event. The set-up featured all-natural
products accented with vegetables, fruits and aphrodisiacs.
Chef Laudico Catering and Swiss Pinoy Kitchen impressed future
brides and grooms with their striking spread.
The Design Society
of the Philippines, headed by designer Jonathan Pagaduan,
marked their first appearance in bridal fairs. Bergamo, the
upscale and exclusive haberdasher in the country, launched
its first groom collection in the fashion show.
The parishioners
were in full support of the event. Among the prominent personalities
who visited the fair were Honorable Teddy Boy Locsin, Congressman
of Makati City; Petrona Lim, Chairman of the Parish
Advisory Council; Justa Tantoco, Chairperson for the
Adoration Chapel Construction Committee; Honorable Menchu
Menchaca-Soriano of Barangay Forbes; Valerie Cue, president
of the Latin American Womens Club and Reverend Father
Tony Rosales. Together, they released live butterflies to
formally open the event. Also spotted in the fair were designers
Lulu Tan-Gan and Mario Katigbak.
The event was
capped by a bridal gown presentation of select fashion designers
modeled by a few of the countrys top mannequins, Lucia
Santiago, Kuku Trinidad and Binibining Pilipinas title-holder
Michelle Reyes. The event was directed by master stylist Henry
Pascual.
